Finding a masjid

Browse the masjid directory, or use "Near Me" to sort by distance (your browser will ask permission to share your location — nothing is stored). Each masjid's page shows today's prayer times, upcoming events, and how to donate. Tap the heart icon on any masjid to favorite it for quick access later — this works even without an account (saved on this device), though you'll need to sign in to see your full list on the My Favorites page.

Registering your masjid

Use Register a Masjid — it's free. New listings are reviewed before they go live, mainly to catch duplicates. You'll need an account to manage it afterward. Already in the directory but nobody has claimed it yet? Open that listing and use "Claim This Masjid" instead — don't register a duplicate.

Managing your masjid's page

From My Masjids → Manage, you can set prayer/Iqama times, add events and khutbah topics, upload photos, set up donations, and turn on a Live Stream link — all from one dashboard. For a full, step-by-step walkthrough of every section, see the Masjid Admin Guide.

TV Display, Lobby Kiosk & Live Stream

The TV Display shows prayer times on a screen in your masjid, and Waqfly has more screens to choose from — a Smart TV Display with photos and a welcome message, a Welcome Display for your entrance, and TV Rotation to cycle through them all on a single TV. The Lobby Kiosk turns a tablet at your entrance into a touch screen for prayer times, events, and donations. Live Stream is a separate, shareable "Watch Live" page — paste your YouTube or Facebook stream link in Manage → Live Stream and turn it on when you're streaming.

Waqfly Adhan app & alerts

Install the free Waqfly Adhan app from the Apps page — no app store needed — then choose a masjid and turn on Adhan alerts to get a notification at each prayer time. The app uses the nearest approved masjid to you, or your favorites if none is nearby. It also includes the Qibla compass, Tasbih counter, Prayer Tracker, and the Islamic knowledge pages.

Donations

Masjids can accept donations via a connected Stripe or Square account (funds go directly to the masjid), or list manual methods like Zelle/Venmo/PayPal. Set this up under Manage → Donations, which also gives you a self-service Donation Kiosk link a donor can use on their own — no staff needed.

Free, no-login pages for everyone:

Prayer Tracker, Tasbih & Community Events

The Prayer Tracker is a daily prayer checklist with a streak counter, and Tasbih is a digital dhikr counter — both work as a guest (saved on this device only) or sign in to keep your history and streak permanently. Community Events shows what's happening this week across every masjid on Waqfly, not just one.

Qibla Compass, Zakat & Fitrah Calculators

The Qibla Compass finds the direction to the Kaaba using your device's location and compass. The Zakat and Fitrah calculators are estimates only — for anything genuinely uncertain, please consult a knowledgeable scholar.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes — free for masjids, forever, with no paid tier. It's supported by optional donations to the platform via the Support Waqfly page.
No. Anyone can browse the masjid directory, view prayer times, and see events without creating an account. An account is only needed to manage a masjid, keep a permanent favorites list, or leave feedback.
Prayer times are calculated using standard astronomical methods based on the masjid's location, with adjustable calculation method, madhab, and manual tuning per masjid. A masjid can also enter its own Iqama times directly.
Donations to a specific masjid go straight to that masjid's own connected Stripe or Square account — Waqfly never holds the funds. Masjids can also list manual payment methods like Zelle or Venmo.
Yes — set up a stream in OBS (or any encoder) pointed at YouTube Live or Facebook Live, then paste that stream's watch link into Manage → Live Stream and turn it on. Waqfly embeds it on a dedicated "Watch Live" page.
Open that masjid's public page and look for "Claim This Masjid." Submit a short note about your connection to it (imam, board member, office staff), and a Super Admin reviews the request — usually within a day or two. Once approved you get the same full Manage access as a fresh registration, without creating a duplicate listing.
Masjid admins can edit almost everything from the Manage dashboard. For anything else — including removal requests — use the Contact page.
Open the Apps page, install Waqfly Adhan, choose your masjid, and turn on Adhan alerts. Your phone will ask permission to send notifications — allow it. Alerts use the Adhan times your masjid publishes on Waqfly.
Some Android phones (Samsung, Xiaomi, and others) pause background apps to save battery, which can delay notifications until the screen wakes. In your phone's battery settings, set Chrome and the Adhan app to unrestricted battery use, remove them from any sleeping-apps list, and turn off any option that puts unused apps to sleep.
Please use the Contact page and describe what you saw. We read every message.
No — all three work right away as a guest, saved privately on that one device. Sign in (it's free) and they carry over permanently, syncing across any device you use.
Short Surahs with audio, Daily Duas, Islamic Holy Days, Historical Places, the 99 Names of Allah, Prophets of Islam, a searchable Islamic Glossary, and the Video Hub — see the Explore card above for direct links to each.
No — they're estimates to help you plan, based on current gold and silver prices and standard Nisab calculations. Zakat al-Fitr amounts especially vary by community, so check with your local masjid for this year's declared figure, and consult a knowledgeable scholar for anything genuinely uncertain.
